20th Century Fox has recently teamed up with NoBullying.com to celebrate the magnificence of being different through a special media campaign. The campaign uses the tagline #StayPeculiar and coincides with the release of Miss Peregrine’s Home For Peculiar Children, the new movie from visionary director Tim Burton, based on the bestselling novel.
Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children follows the story of Jake who uncovers a secret refuge where the residents all have unusual abilities. The tale unfolds as Jake embarks on a fantastical journey with the Peculiars. The film, recognizes that being inherently different and unique is be a positive thing.
Through the partnership –20th Century Fox and NoBullying.com will promote the message #StayPeculiar to online and offline audiences. A microsite has been created to take the NoBullying.com community on a journey to find out more about the main themes of the movie. These themes include the courage to be different, friendship, discovery, self-acceptance, and seeking the truth. The aim of the partnership is to encourage children, teens, and even adults to stay true to themselves and not be afraid of being peculiar.
